Media + Design

Great design – like good storytelling – requires equal parts strategy and creative courage.

Design Philosophy

I approach design as a translator of complexity into clarity—blending curious listening with iterative making. My work lives in the space between strategic intention and crafted execution, building flexible systems that grow with brands while honouring the details that make experiences feel cohesive. Whether shaping identities or campaigns, I thrive in the messy middle where sketches, feedback, and happy accidents transform good ideas into meaningful solutions.

Education Grounded in Practice

At North Island College, I learned to see design as both a language and a lens—a way to distill ideas into visual stories while questioning assumptions. The program sharpened my ability to move fluidly between research, iteration, and execution, grounding creative risks in purposeful thinking. It’s where I first discovered that the most effective designs emerge from this balance of curiosity and craft.

Novice World Traveller

My North Island College field school in Andalusia (2023) revealed design as a conversation across centuries. Studying the Mezquita’s Islamic-Christian fusion and the Alhambra’s precise mosaics taught me how great visual language balances tradition with innovation. I now bring this perspective to branding—creating work that honours heritage while feeling fresh, where meaningful details reveal themselves over time.

Proud Dog Mom

My life got infinitely brighter in November 2024 when I adopted Milo, a spirited husky-lab mix (emphasis on mix). This rescue pup’s journey from a rough start to becoming my velcro companion required patience, adaptability, and room for joyful imperfections. Whether he’s photobombing Zoom calls or joining me on coastal hikes, his goofy antics remind me daily that the best creations (and companions) are full of surprises.

West Coast Exploration

Growing up on Southern Vancouver Island, I spent my childhood between scrambling over rainforest roots and watching Pacific storms. Now based in Vancouver, I’ve traded some wilderness for cityscape inspiration. Whether photographing alleyway murals or alpine meadows, I’m drawn to places where raw nature and human creativity collide.
